UQ was selected as part of the development team to design three new affordable housing buildings in Brownsville, Brooklyn. UQ originally submitted a proposal in 2016 under the city's Neighborhood Construction Program (NCP) and was awarded the project along with Alembic Community Development and JMR Development in August 2017. The program calls for neighborhood scale multi-family rental buildings of mixed incomes to built on small vacant, city-owned lots.
