Overview

Sutter Crossing is a development consisting of 2 new mixed use 8 story buildings of affordable housing, with community & commercial space at the ground levels. The project includes 141 units, a 10,750 sf grocery store & 2065 Sf community facility space.

One of the defining site characteristics is the design of the building facades. Using a shift in materiality and window size/pattern, each of the buildings are designed to read as 2 adjacent structures instead one. This feature allows for the buildings to better fit into the context of the surrounding neighborhood.
